JPAC TEAM MEMBERS TO APPEAR IN HAWAII FIVE-0 EPISODE OCT. 10
Service members volunteer to participate in upcoming episode

JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii (Oct. 6, 2011) - The U.S. Joint
POW/MIA Accounting Command recently hosted a crew from the T.V. series
"Hawaii Five-0" to film at the Central Identification Laboratory; the
episode is scheduled to air Oct. 10, 2011. This opportunity allows JPAC to
connect with a wider audience and bring the POW/MIA accounting mission
into the homes of millions of Americans nationwide.

In the episode, Hawaii Five-0 works with the Joint POW/MIA Accounting
Command, located on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. More than 30
Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, and Airmen were selected to participate in the
shoot. This is the second year that the hit CBS show has filmed on JBPHH,
and the first for JPAC.

Falling directly under the U.S. Pacific Command, JPAC is a jointly-manned
organization of more than 400 military and civilian specialists that has,
with its predecessor organizations, investigated and recovered missing
Americans since the 1970's. Since 2003, JPAC has identified more than
750 Americans. Combined with the efforts of its predecessor units, close
to 2,000 Americans have been identified since the accounting effort began
in the 1970's.

The ultimate goal of the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command, and of the
agencies involved in returning America's heroes home, is to achieve the
fullest possible accounting of Americans lost during the nation's past
conflicts.
